Biography
Cara A. Morea, Esq. received her Bachelor of Business Administration, cum laude, from Pace University in 1995. Immediately upon her graduation, Cara was employed by the accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand as an auditor and earned her CPA during her tenure there. Cara subsequently left public accounting to attend St. John's University School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate in 2000, graduating cum laude and within the top 10% of her class. At St. John's, Cara was the Associate Managing Editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute ("ABI") Law Review.
Cara was also a recipient of the St. John's University School of Law Merit Scholarship and published an article in the ABI Law Review. Cara spent several years as an associate at Curtis, Mallet, Prevost Colt & Mosle, in the firm's Tax Department, before taking time off to raise her family. Cara has been an associate at Corliss Law Group since 2015 and her practice includes Estate Planning and Elder Law. Cara is admitted to the New York and Connecticut Bar, and is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State (non-practicing status).
